Where I Started

My parents have all of my old violins that I have used through the years and it amazes me how tiny my first violin was. Just seeing it makes me very grateful for all the time and money (and effort) my parents put into me playing the violin.

So I have been having an awesome time in Utah. I have taken lots of pictures to document my time and to keep all my buds in other places updated. So get ready for lots of pics:

My mom is making a quilt for my nephew, Gabe. Since I got here I have been helping her work on it. I am now completely addicted. I sooo wish I had a sewing machine and tons and tons of money to just quilt all day long! We finally finished the quilt and I was so proud that I had to take some pics:

My sweet hubby's birthday was on saturday. May 10, 1982. He is now 26 years old!! I am so lucky to have such a great guy. He is my best friend and I love that I get to spend eternity with him.

Funny/ kinda sad story... on Saturday I went to a class with my mom in the morning. I knew James wouldn't be awake before I left for the class so I just figured he would call me when he woke up. So the class ended at 12:30 pm and James still hadn't called. I picked up my cell and called him. He answered and the first words out of my mouth were, "What the crap?!" in which he replied, "Don't you mean 'Happy Birthday James'?" OH MY GOODNESS! I felt so bad. I tried to backpedal but the damage had already been done. I didn't forget it was his birthday, I just forgot that Saturday was infact May 10th. I know that is a lame excuse, but it's the only one I've got.

So I just want to let James and everyone else know how grateful I am for him. I am the luckiest girl. I love you with all my heart.

A Day with Davis...

Today I got to spend the day with my mom-in-law Suzie and my cute nephew Davis. It was such a fun day. I loved seeing the McAllisters. I couldn't help but take a bunch of pictures of Davis's cute little face! I am surrounded by cute babies!!! AAAAHHH!
PS- For those of you who don't know... Davis is James's brother's baby. He belongs to Matt and Melissa. We love them and Davis's cute overalls!

Happy Mother's Day!

So today is Mother's Day. I am so grateful for my mommy, especially today. She is such a wonderful person and a great example to me everyday. I am very grateful for her always pushing me to do the right thing and be a good person. Without her, I would not be the person I am today. I love you mom.

I'm Here!!!

I am finally in Utah. I flew in yesterday afternoon. I freakin' love it here. It is so pretty. Oh, and I am done with finals. Microbiology was a killer, but I ended up getting a 'B' in the class, so I am happy.

feeling bluesy...

James left yesterday morning to go to Oklahoma City. He will be gone for a whole month! He has to do radar training for his job. I (of course) bawled like a little baby. I held it together pretty well until he actually got in the car to drive away. Then I ran outside, barefoot and all, crying, to give him one last hug and tell him that I love him. He laughed at me and told me that I have a "tender little heart". Yeah, so what if I do??

The good news is that I am almost done with this semester of school and I get to go to Utah in less than a week!! YAHOO!

And James took the computer so I had to come all the way to the college, which is like 5 seconds away, to post this blog..... you're welcome!

So this morning I had a headache after taking my final in microbiology lab, so I took two excedrin. Then I got really hyper here at the apartment all by myself and decided to take silly pictures. Here is the result of my madness:

My Weekend

Well there isn't much to say. Friday night was spent sitting in my dining room studying microbiology and the perforin-granzyme cytotoxic pathway of cell-mediated immunity. Doesn't that sound like a blast? Oh yeah, it was..... I always like to ask James if he wants to learn about what I'm studying and even if he says no (which he always does) I will still read him a definition or two. It always makes me laugh, but not him. Wanna help??


Today was actually pretty fun. James slept in while I watched my Saturday morning home improvement shows on HGTV. I can't get enough of that channel! Then we worked out, cleaned, went out to lunch, and saw BABY MAMA!! Yes, you read correctly, I actually went out to lunch today. Even though I am on a strict diet, I am still able to eat lunch as long as it healthy. I got shrimp and a salad and James got a full rack of ribs! He cracks me up. Oh and Baby Mama was incredible! I laughed out loud multiple times. I highly recommend it.

Then tonight we attended our first ever Catholic wedding. It was very interesting. Seriously, as soon as we sat down I couldn't stop thinking about how grateful I am for the church. I love having it in my life and it blesses me every day....even though I teach Sunday School to the 14 year-olds! :)

OK I asked James if he wants to add anything so here goes:

ps- This is James and I am getting ready to watch the Utah Jazz with a belly full of ribs, how can you argue against that?!? Two nights ago I had an epiphany as I lay prone on my carpet after Deron Williams of the Jazz got blocked to seal a loss. That watching the Jazz and the drama that comes along with following your favorite team is the best entertainment that exists. Nothing puts me on the edge of my seat quite like a close playoff game. I am excited when they win and devastated when they lose. YOU GOTTA LOVE IT BABY!

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission...

ok not me, but my bro-in-law Joel got his mission call yesterday!!! He is going to be serving in the Columbus, Ohio mission. We are so dang excited for him. Congrats Joel, we love you!

Utah, here I come!!

So as most of you know, I will be going to Utah in exactly two weeks! I am so excited. I can't wait to see my family and the mountains. Here's a pic of what I will be enjoying shortly.... WAHOO!!
